MARCH & APRIL
The season proper starts with the traditional Stock Rod double header over the Easter weekend on March 29th and 30th. The Yokohama title is up for grabs at the S. McAfee & Son backed opener on Good Friday with the Gilmore Engineering Irish Open Championship decided the following evening. The Stock Rods return on April 12th. to compete for the coveted William Cooke Memorial Trophy, before the 1300 Stock Cars and Prostocks make their first Raceway appearance of the season on April 19th. April is concluded with a special ladies event on April 26th. in aid of Cancer Focus N.I. The ladies will compete in Group 2 Lightning Rods for the Queen of Speed Trophy over two qualifying heats and a final, so girls here is your chance to show the boys how it should be done!

MAY
The month of May commences with a Cirrus Plastics backed fixture on Friday 3rd. where the National Hot Rods contest Round 11 of their World Qualifying Series. A great race card for the RW Signs / Curtis Cars backed meeting on May 11th. is headlined by the UK Masters Championship for the thunderous Saloon Stock Cars, ably supported by the Stock Rods Irish Grand Prix, Group 2 Lightning Rods and Speed Stocks. The action continues on Friday 31st. May when the National Hot Rod World Series reaches its conclusion at the Ricardo Imaging sponsored meeting. Will the title go down to the wire at Raceway once again?

JUNE
June is a busy month with four fixtures scheduled, the first of which is the Muppet Motorsport sponsored meeting on June 7th. which features a special match race between the Prostocks and the Speed Stocks. The Curtis Cars sponsored meeting on June 14th. includes one of the must see meetings on our calendar, when the visiting F2 stars join our local drivers to contest the F2 Challenge Trophy. Further fixtures are pencilled in for Friday 21st. and Friday 28th. June and the latter will feature another of our charity events, the Soapbox Derby. The one lap dash for pedal cars will also raise money for Diabetes UK, so get building your bogey to support this worthy cause.

AUGUST
After a mid-season break during July the action resumes at full throttle on Friday August 9th. with the final of the Stock Rod Elite Series and the Group Two Challenge Cup both on the card. Round 2 of the 2014 World Qualifying Series for National Hot Rods takes place at the next Raceway meeting on August 16th. The exciting BriSCA F2’s are also on the card at this Ross Hyndman Motors sponsored meeting and with the coveted Norman Cromie Memorial Trophy up for grabs their racing is sure to be fast and furious.
Our big double-header over the weekend of August 23rd. and 24th. features the Stock Rod Nations Cup on the Friday evening and their UK Championship on the Saturday. The Stock Rods always put on a great show at Raceway and this weekend is sure to provide some hectic action from the 1400cc rods. A full programme of racing, sponsored by Curtis Cars in association with Wm. Moody & Son, includes another World Qualifier for the National Hot Rods plus the Best in Britain races for both Saloons and F2s, making these two days of short oval racing not to be missed.

One week later on Saturday August 31st. Raceway proudly presents the 25th. staging of the National Hot Rod Irish Open Championship backed event by Curtis Cars and SHP Engineering. Reigning champion Glenn Bell can make history by becoming the first driver to ever win this famous title 3 times in a row on what is sure to be a thrilling exhibition from the fastest cars on the local racing scene.

SEPTEMBER
September sees the start of Irish Championship time at Raceway and the first of our domestic champions will be determined during The Dealer.ie backed meeting on Friday 13th. September when the Group Two Irish Championship is held. The Edwin May Car Sales sponsored meeting on September 20th. features another World Qualifier for the Nationals plus the Stadium Championship for the Saloons, before the first ever Speed Stocks Irish Champion will be determined at our meeting on September 27th. It’s a busy fixture at Raceway that evening too, with the 2013 National Championship for the 1300 Stock Car and the Group Two King of the North Trophy also on the cracking schedule.

OCTOBER
The always entertaining Junior Rods will resolve their Irish Championship at Raceway on October 4th. where the Stadium Championship for the Prostocks will also be settled. A packed evening at the Brogan Car Sales sponsored meeting is completed by the Group Two Lightning Rod Golden Helmet Trophy and the Stock Rod King of the North Trophy.
The Raceway season is wrapped up on Friday October 11th. and what a spectacle is in store at the McMillan Travel sponsored finale. Topping the bill is the Stock Rod Irish Championship, always one of the most keenly contested races of the year. The F2 Stock Cars and ORC Lightning Rods will determine their 2013 Stadium Champion that same evening, while the National Hot Rods are back on World Qualifying duty to provide a fitting conclusion to another season of thrills and spills at Ballymena Raceway.
